The hilly tract of Satpuda ranges as well as the plains of Nandurbar district is facing
the heavy infestation of hairy caterpillar. This has hampered the various kharif crops.
For the management of hairy caterpillar, KVK, Nandurbar propagated the package of
practices through literature, poster, trainings and meetings. To enhance the effectivity
and adaptation rate to control the hairy caterpillar, KVK, Nandurbar developed
audio-visual educational material (CD) in tribal dialect. The publication CD was held
by the hands of Hon. Dr. Vijay Kumar Gavit, Tribal Development Minister, Maharashtra.
